Chevy Chase, Maryland – December 9, 2013: Nolan Financial has successfully completed a SSAE 16 Type II Audit, which resulted in an unqualified report with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA). The SSAE-16 audit creates an international platform of required standards for multi-national public companies to easily assess vendors, business processes and overall viability of those companies.
The rigorous examination is conducted annually by an independent, outside auditing firm. Nolan Financial has obtained the SSAE-16 II (formerly known as Statement on Auditing Standard No. 70 Type II) audit report with no exceptions noted for eight consecutive years. This highly specialized audit looks at the design and operating effectiveness of a service organization’s internal controls over processing transactions for client organizations.
Nolan Financial’s receipt of an unqualified SSAE – 16 II Report provides assurance to plan sponsors and their independent auditors of the effectiveness of Nolan Financial’s processes, procedures and controls. This report eliminates the need for plan sponsors to incur the expense of testing these controls.
“It’s quite an accomplishment to have eight SSAE – 16 II Reports with absolutely no exceptions,” said Michael E. Nolan, President and CEO of Nolan Financial. “Nolan Financial is dedicated to providing best-in-class service to our clients. Each year we spend considerable resources on reviewing and updating our processes, standards and procedures. The SSAE 16 Type II audit demonstrates that Nolan Financial has the necessary controls in place to deliver the best services to our clients.”
