Job Title: Account Manager, Insurance Plan Services
Nolan Financial is a national leading financial services firm, focusing in executive benefits for the past 29 years. Due to continued growth and expansion, Nolan Financial is currently seeking a full-time Sr. Account Analyst. Location may be in any of the following locations: Bethesda, MD, Nashville, TN, or Telecommute.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include the overall management of assigned client accounts and relationships including communications, installation, administration, annual reviews, problem identification and resolution, reporting to meet contractual requirements and client expectations and include, but are not limited to:
- Develop advanced working knowledge of assigned cases while developing and maintaining relationships with plan contacts of client organizations and assigned individual cases to become their provider of information and resources related to their plans. Identify and resolve problematic issues to ensure the highest level of service.
- Provide overall project management, including the initiation, communications, services and resources of key program events such as annual enrollments and benefit changes. Develop presentation materials and actively participate in annual plan review meetings. Contribute to the development, updating and enhancement of materials associated with presentation, enrollment, new client communications and administration of new and existing client plans.
- Manage and monitor assigned client accounts to ensure that all records and information from which services are provided are accurate, and work with staff to ensure that all issues are responded to and resolved accordingly.
- Maintain current working knowledge of laws and regulations as they affect plans to ensure timely compliance and communication where applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS
In addition to solid organizational skills and a strong attention to detail, the successful candidate for this position must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with senior executives of Fortune 1000 companies and other professionals. He or she will have the ability to positively motivate team members within a cohesive team environment. He or she should possess proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook. Candidate must have the ability to handle cyclical work pressures with professional demeanor and be a team player willing to participate and interact with staff of all levels within other departments. The successful candidate should have experience with group and individual life insurance and disability products, corporate owned life insurance. Familiarity and/or experience with bank owned life insurance and individual underwriting process with various carriers is desirable. He or she should possess the motivation to successfully assume greater responsibilities in this role as potential advancement opportunities are available.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
This position requires an undergraduate degree in finance, business or human resource related field and a minimum of three to four years of relevant work experience in the insurance industry or; serving in the capacity of account manager or; the equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with group and individual life insurance and disability products. The successful candidate will also have experience in serving in an account management capacity with group cases. Successful candidates are required to currently hold a valid Life & Health License.
SALARY RANGE and BENEFITS
The position offers a competitive annual base salary that is commensurate with skills and experience, plus quarterly and annual bonus incentive potential. Position will be located at the company headquarters in Bethesda, MD.
